She was moving on with her life, she wrote on their blog. All traces of me had been removed from her social media - barring the one post that was made specifically to announce this fact. It’s not like anything had changed - it had already been years since we had been in contact so I couldn’t understand why I was seeing this now.

I was looking at the trees through my window as the sun was setting. A large holographic keypad was in front of me and I was trying to figure out what it did. Whenever I entered 4 7 (which were actually in the 1 and 5 positions, respectively), I would look up to see that something about the leaves outside had changed. “This is why fall is spook”, I said aloud.

We were watching anime projected onto the wall of my room and I was falling asleep. “I’m sorry, I can’t”, I said as I struggled to keep my head up. We were only 15 minutes into the hour long movie. I collapsed into the pillow beside me only to immediately wake up feeling parched.

Each person was responsible for a mouse in a game of cat and mouse. Our goal was to deliver the mouse in our hands to the mouse hole without the cat catching it. I was the last one left and across the room from the hole. I slowly walked towards it and lowered my hand as the cat watched intently. I mouse bit down so hard in fear that I nearly crushed it on instinct but instead stood straight up. I thought I was close enough to the goal for it escape the cat but I guess it didn’t seem that way for the mouse.

I was walking up to each of the panels of our classroom window and closing the blinds halfway. I pair of students walked into the room and told me that I had been selected for some kind of music project.

I told her I was done for the night and was heading to bed. Except that was hours ago and now she found me still awake and gaming alone in my room. I wasn’t really sure how we had even gotten back together but here we were.

We were walking through the plaza when I saw an acquaintance trying to attract customers for a restaurant in a maid outfit. He asked if we would like coffee or tea at the height of noon in the middle of summer.

After sensing that someone else was in the house, I started walking towards the kitchen. I opened a drawer to find my niece inside - and invisible. “You’re not supposed to be here”, I thought, as she waddled her way towards the dining table.

Instead of boarding the aircraft, all of the passengers were led into an underground basement with dining tables. It was a large open space, lit up by blue lights and the glow of projector screens. The airline welcomed us to a celebratory dinner for flying on their one millionth flight. As we ate, they talked about their growth over the years and the changes that led up to this milestone. Rather abruptly, they started to talk about changes in Overwatch.

We had decided to go to their apartment so we ran into the underground parking lot to take the elevator without going through the front door. They rang the front desk with the intercom to tell the security guard to let us up. After waiting around for a few minutes, they walked across the lot and through another door, promising that they would be quick.
