I was sitting in the back of the car as my parents looked for a place to have lunch. We recalled there was a restaurant called “Kaigai” nearby but forgot what it served or if we liked it the last time we went. We found out that it was an udon place after sitting down at a table and opening the menu. The pictures of food in the menu had small 7-Eleven stickers in the corner. We ended up ordering 3 bowls of noodles and some chicken wings.

I was walking around the classroom as a teacher’s assistant when a student came up to me with a series of questions. First they wanted help with patching their copy of Starcraft on their computer, then they wanted advice on how to approach an NDA for a recent offer they got from NASA. Finally, they asked me how to turn their laptop screen into a touchscreen. I sat down with them at one of the few empty desks to check their installation of the game and found out they simply needed to restart their computer. I told them about how NDAs would usually specify which parts of their occupation they could or couldn’t talk about to the public. A friend came up to the desk and remarked how the distribution of people in the classroom modeled that of gas particles. I noticed I was rather warm and the back of my shirt damp; I needed to move somewhere cooler myself. I said that I’d leave the touchscreen installation to him.

I had time traveled to sometime in the past. I was in Taipei and most of the major roads were ripped up for the construction of subway lines. I kept walking north until I found myself on a dirt path next to the rice fields. I walked through a series of buildings which happened to be dorms for the local farmers. There were strange crystal formations on the side of the hills as I trekked along the highway. Eventually I reached a town center which had a mosaic fountain. I spotted my dad and wanted to ask him about the places I’d passed through but had a hard time finding any of the photos I had just taken on my phone to show him.

It was the second week of the semester and the deadline for adding or dropping classes was fast approaching. A classmate asked me if I was “laptop-maxing” this semester (i.e. going fully remote). I told them that I wasn’t even sure what classes I was actually signed up for because I couldn’t seem to find a copy of my schedule online. I thought about visiting my advisor the next morning to ask about it.

I had woken up from a nap in the middle of a hotel lobby. It was 7PM and I hadn’t eaten dinner yet. Someone asked me if I had any plans for the day. I told them that I was planning to watch a Starcraft tournament, adding that I had recently been laid off so my vacation had turned out to be longer than originally planned.

I was walking along the shore taking photos of the magnolias and sailboats while the sun was setting. I hopped off of a small ledge and accidentally jumped into the water which went up to my shins. I was immediately scolded by someone who was in charge of watching the area and had to tell them that it was an honest mistake.

For today’s PE class we were practicing how to “ski in place”. It was more like we were skating, while wearing skis. There was an announcement on the PA system that “Petey [Piranha]” had died due to someone pouring coffee into into its flower pot. Some of the students were popping vitamins and getting IV drips for antibiotics. Someone asked if this was safe and whether they should be asking for extra credit.

I was playing as the Engineer from TF2 in Mine Mogul and was frustrated at the lack of an elevator piece in the game. A Medic popped out and snapped his fingers to allow you to jump higher in game.

I ran down the long and slightly curved hallway under the fluorescent lights as I was being chased by government agents. I entered the unlit stairwell and found a corner to stay still in an attempt to throw them off but was discovered when they happened to bump into me. Jumping to my feet, I strode up the stairs and exited into a parking lot where I dashed to the other end and into a garbage chute.

I was repotting a plant and asked my dad if he knew where the bag of pebbles were. Apparently they were somewhere in my brother’s room. When I went to look for the sack, all I saw was piles and piles of books stacked up all over the room. There were printouts of Reddit threads on the bed.
