My dad had obtained some kind of holy water and was wiping it on my wrists. He said it might tingle a bit. I was looking at a map of Christian denominations. My mom asked if I would still visit them halfway across the world. I said “Maybe?” I asked them if they had really bought land in Japan but they said it was just a seaside rental in Yokohama.

The garbage truck was blaring music as it made its way down our street. I said that it was too loud but apparently my dad didn’t catch it. At least we now knew that if we didn’t get a chance to throw out our trash in the morning, the truck would come by again in the afternoon, I thought.

The new house had an unused guest room which was furnished with its own fridge.

I tried to record my dream but the screen was way too small to actually read any of what I was typing. Other than the keyboard, much of the space was covered up by cute fish stickers. I gave up and grabbed a notebook and pen but the pen was much too watery and started bleeding everywhere. I was afraid of everything smudging together if I closed the notebook.
