The cafeteria line that I was waiting in split into two in front of me so I arbitrarily chose the branch on the right. This happened to be the line for desserts so I picked out an ice cream before circling back to the end of the line.

As I sat down at the lunch table, a friend asked me about the necklace I was wearing which had a DIY digital time display. He asked me how it worked so I turned it over to show him the small battery on the back of the display. This was when I accidentally snapped off one of the pins.
