We were scaling a near vertical cliff face that also resembled a highway up the side of an erupting volcano. Molten rock and debris were raining down on us as we tried to crawl our way up the smooth rock. What can only be described as a magma worm was also weaving in and out of the ground.

I was urged to stop crawling on all fours and hurry up. My legs felt extra wobbly as I pushed myself up to stand on my two feet. I slowly ambled my way to the interdimensional portal at the summit.

We were now in an old school building and I asked my dad if we could’ve just taken the other portal at the foot of the mountain to get here. “Probably”, he said. The rooms in the school seemed to be particularly small dorm rooms, with only enough space for a bed, locker, and desk. One of the large ones had multiple board game pieces strewn across the bed.

We were called out to the atrium and informed that we were assigned to remove some barnacles from seals tomorrow. We were given a basket of raw oysters as advance payment.

I was reading a friend’s blog post saying that they were interested in a threesome but didn’t have any good candidates for a third person in mind. They then went on about how their partner probably had a much more interesting life, having to take care of “voiceless idiots” (affectionate) such as themselves.
