A cable car that had stretched across Victoria Harbour had collapsed in front of our eyes. A tall supporting tower had fallen towards the water and crashed onto a platform in the middle of the waterway. We quickly made our way to the wreckage on our small boat and were relieved to find that no one had been injured.

I was in a town square of an Eastern European country (possibly Poland?) for an impromptu meeting with a friend. As we waited for someone else to show up, I chatted with a friend about how it was “hard work being attractive.”
