I walked out in the middle of class and took a long stroll around the docks. I helped load up a ship with some garbage bags as I passed them before finishing the loop. I found my dad lining up for a cafe that was about to close and asked him how I should note down the work I did today. It was getting dark.

I returned to the lecture hall and someone had passed around a bag of balloons, some of which had been blown up and were strewn around the room. People were drawing on the chalkboard. There was a list of films on the board, presumably a record of suggestions on what to watch. One of the entries was ‘A Clown Story" but someone in the class was very adamant that we do not watch that one. However in order for his opinion to be considered, he had to suggest something else instead.

The people sitting next to me asked where I went since I had left without a word. I looked at the clock which read that it was 8:30 PM. “Wait, when do we check out?” I asked, “Are we here for another hour?” I remembered how daylight savings was once again wreaking havoc on everyone’s schedules. Apparently there were some people who had stayed a whole extra hour by accident because of it. I should have around 15 minutes left myself.

I pulled out my laptop but was unable to find the login portal. In a panic I begged my neighbors for help, telling them that my brain wasn’t working today. I should have the page bookmarked, I explained, but for some reason none of the web pages looked right. I felt embarrassed.

My brother was visiting and I woke up to him trying to get the TV to work. He plugged the TV into the cable box and a loud static appeared on the screen despite the device not being plugged into power. I said that it was probably unsafe to try plugging into the socket at this point.
