I was at a friend’s house party and they wanted me to play Jackbox with them. I told them I’d pass while I struggled to fit on a blue pair of disposable gloves. “Oh come on”, they begged. “Alright, fine”, I conceded as the gloves weren’t fitting anyways. A friend offered his phone, asking if I still had a “wood phone”, a reference to the fact that my phone was falling apart around this time last year. I looked at the TV and noticed I wasn’t able to focus and read anything on the screen.
“Okay, I’m too tired for this”, I said. I sat down, explaining how it felt like I was high even though I knew that I wasn’t. “I’m not supposed to be in this room - I’m in bed…” I said. “Oh? About to sleep with me?” someone teased.
“Alone. If that wasn’t clear”, I responded.

I got up from my seat at a restaurant and walked into a messy restroom. I needed to pee but wasn’t sure where I was supposed to because there was random junk all over the place. I was using what looked like a trough urinal when someone took away some boxes that were on the other end of the drain.

Everyone in the house had shifted into different beds throughout the night. I woke up and picked up my pillow and blankets to go to my actual room upstairs. My dad told me about how my grandma thought I had passed away. I asked him how she could have made such a mistake, whether she had misheard something or if her memories had gotten mixed up.
