I had been wandering for hours along the residential streets on an island. It was getting dark. I looked at my phone to find the nearest route to the ferry terminal and saw that I still had a long trek ahead of me. I walked through unmarked forest paths and people’s back gardens before finally seeing the terminal.

I walked up to the gate when I realized that I didn’t have my boarding pass on me. I checked my phone and couldn’t find anything. I spotted my mother also in the boarding area and tapped on her shoulder. I tried to explain to a staff member that we were traveling together and needed to board the next ferry.

I was playing Project Zomboid and was being chased by the Tank from Left 4 Dead. It was a work-in-progress enemy that recently got added to the game but didn’t seem to be very well tuned as the only way to really deal with was backtracking in circles while shooting at it forever.
