It was late at night and I was about to enter a boba shop when I saw someone I recognized behind the counter. I turned around and got back into the car.

I was dragging a cart from one underground metro station to another. My uncle flagged me down and said that I must’ve walked quite a distance. I agreed and added that I wasn’t even sure where I was headed. We turned back together towards the direction I came.
