I didn’t want to keep waiting for everyone else to get ready so I headed out the door early. A few people wanted to stop by the doctors office when we passed and I went on without them, reasoning that if I wasn’t going to wait earlier, then I shouldn’t wait now.

I was now at the movie theater and went up the escalator to the box office. It was only when it was nearly my turn in line that I noticed that my left pocket was empty. In my rush to get out the house early, I had left my wallet at home. I quickly went back down the escalators and had to tell my friends that I didn’t have money on me.
