I found myself at a house party despite not wanting to go. I felt inappropriately dressed for the occasion. Apparently the house had also recently begun operating as a tattoo parlor. It was quite popular and needed sessions to be booked multiple weeks in advance.

I was reading news coverage about the Israeli Palestinian conflict from the BBC. The article had a surprisingly detailed map of the most recent advances into a Gazan city. There were also reports of a wealthy philanthropist who promised to “end it all” before suddenly disappearing from the face of the earth along with all of their wealth. The background music on the live reports started swelling and drowning out the broadcasters. Apparently this “cinematic” addition to the coverage was a request from an anonymous donator to the program.
