Classes were over and people were heading to the docks to watch a formal duel between some students. A large crowd was already watching from behind the glass when we got there. A body lay unconscious on the ground while another was doing some kind of strange headstand in the center. Someone approached the boy only to be immediately thrown down onto the ground.

“Any more challengers?” an announcer’s voice came from somewhere. There was some murmuring but it seemed like the show was over. We started heading to one of the ferries to get home. When I got onto the boat I realized that most of my stuff was still on campus as we got distracted by the fight. The boat was already leaving the docks when I asked about heading back - I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t prepared to head home yet.

A few hours later we finally got to the next stop. I looked at the map and there were no direct trains that went back to campus. We’d have to take the long away around the island.

A friend dropped off his collection of game and figurines in acrylic display cubes that he set on top of my bed. The boxes were so heavy that I was afraid of them falling over so I found a new corner in the room for them. Among the collection were also hundreds of miniature Gameboy and N64 cartridges about the size of a dollar coin.

I walked out of the house and was in the middle of the mountains. My cousins were walking back and asked if I had ever seen the nearby waterfall in the summer. I said I wasn’t sure and so they proposed a short hike to head over right now. I needed change my shoes but realized that I was already wearing sandals - I just needed to take off my socks.
