I was in a shopping mall with my mom when we were approached by a lady holding a small booklet. She started talking about some kind of immigration interview and needing us to sign our names in the book. She kept going on about how it was urgent and that it was to make up for some past error in the process. My mom already had a pen in her hand when I finally had enough and grabbed the green booklet.

“Who the fuck are you!?” I shouted at the woman. She seemed genuinely shocked by my sudden outburst. She slowly back away and I followed her through the mall and around a large pillar. “What do you want from us?” I continued. “What kind of person does this?” I couldn’t get out of my head that there were people who were intentionally preying on and scamming recent immigrants.
