I went downstairs to go to the restroom and ended up in the one that was in a state of disrepair. Most of the lights were broken save for a few that were close to the floor. The tiled walls were mostly smashed up and water was leaking from the roof. There was a large hole in the ground next to the urinal I was standing at and I could see rows of desks in a flooded classroom below.

I heard the voice of a young boy saying that he “[didn’t] like this place”. I then spotted him below taking a seat at one of the desks. Apparently this was his seat from the previous school year. I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

As I went back up the stairs, I sensed an unfamiliar weight on my right ear. I reached up to feel a rather large earring which I had no recollection of ever getting. I thought that maybe I had just forgotten about it.

I returned to my seat at the diner for breakfast with my parents. I looked to my right and saw an old friend with her sister at the other table - I felt a little embarrassed.
