When we arrived home there was a red blinking light next to the doorway. Apparently something had set off the house alarm. We opened the door and saw a flock of birds in our backyard through the window. One of them had caught a rabbit in our yard and the rest were here to share the feast.

My dad and I walked outside and started refilling the pond with water. Our geese were sitting at the far end of the pool as the water rose back to the top. I lowered myself into the pool until I realized that my phone was still in my pocket and I had to lift myself out of the edge without submerging my upper thighs into the water.
