The new semester was starting soon and I was feeling anxious about not having registered for classes yet. Two children asked me if Taiwanese people didn’t like singing. I asked them why they would think that. Apparently their host family told them to stop singing while they were brushing their teeth.

A new art exhibit held in the library was about to open to the public. The works were mostly abstract sculptures made out of metal and many people were looking forward to it. The reviews talked about how it was “very psychological” and that the sculptures were a direct physical manifestation of the artist’s psyche.
