We had converted our home into a library and today was the first time it was opened to the public. Guests were still touring the place well into the night. I stepped out onto the patio and saw fireworks being set off in the distance.

Two men lay unmoving in the hallway. I asked for someone to call for help and started to perform CPR on one of them. Their faces were already blue. Nothing seemed to work, which only made sense since it seemed like they had been here for hours at least.

A few moments later both of them suddenly sat up, their faces now a deep purple.
