I was on an alumni tour of my high school campus. We were sitting in a classroom when the guide had some kind of technical difficulty and asked for help. I looked at the computer and realized that it was still running Windows 2000. I couldn’t see anything obviously wrong with it and told her that the CPU was probably just too outdated to do whatever she was trying to do.

When we gathered outside after the end of the tour, I noticed that my friends from elementary school were all wearing matching jackets. The guide pulled me to the side and told me that she actually didn’t really like working here.

I called out to my teacher by his first name and felt embarrassed when he corrected me on my pronunciation.

I gave myself a clean shave in front of the mirror.
