There was a giant brawl in the gym which lasted through the entire night. By the time morning came, everyone was on the ground or leaning against the wall, exhausted. We had initially gathered to figure out who was the “Pepsi murderer”. They were named as such because the victim was clutching a can of Pepsi when the body was found.

I walked around the gym, giving people “permission” to leave and go home. Around halfway through, I realized that we never actually achieved what we had come here for. In fact, there was even the possibility that another murder could have taken place that night without anyone noticing amid the chaos.

When I mentioned this fact to the few fully conscious people in the room they asked me if I was the Pepsi murderer. I denied it, of course, since I wasn’t even enrolled at the school yet when it happened.

I walked out the door for some fresh air when I saw my aunt taking a stroll with my grandmother. I joined them and asked if they knew anything about the Pepsi murderer. “Don’t believe or spread those kinds of rumor”, my aunt warned. I told them that I had actually come from 7 years into the future, which didn’t seem to phase them. My aunt turned around and gifted me a cheap makeup box.

I laughed as I recalled the first time she had given this to me, unbeknownst to her. “It’s filled with coins, right?” I asked as the heavy box was set in my hands. When I opened the cover, it was indeed filled with loose change. I smiled and wished them good health as they continued their walk.
