I walked up the bleachers of the unlit gymnasium until I got to a row of jail cells. The guard on duty claimed to be unable to perceive “cause and effect”. I had gotten a little too close when he noticed me and started running at me. I quickly turned the other way, heading for the exit. Someone told me that he was “unstoppable” but apparently he had trouble catching me in the first place.
I was greeted by the morning sun once I made my way out of the double doors, but instead of running straight ahead, I circled back and ran up the stairs above the exit. I was quietly making my way up the stairs before I was startled by a booming voice, “Oh, so you’re waiting outside the office.” I didn’t even know there was an office here. I caught a glimpse of the large man taking strides towards me, which was enough to prompt me to start running again. The only issue was that the end of the roof was just up ahead.
I wasn’t fast enough. He caught up to me and lifted me up by the armpits. I thrashed and kicked until I willed a way to spam his view with web pop-ups. He was blinded and I was able to break free. I leaped off the roof of the building and rolled backwards into the school when I hit the ground.
