I was painting alongside my mom on our farm with a view of the ocean waves. My dad suggested meeting up with them at an island off the coast of Taiwan sometime next week. “Take care of all accounting first”, he said, by which he meant we should buy our plane tickets.

I returned to a theater/English class from a bathroom break but apparently the class was just about to move to a different location. I had also managed to miss several announcements about upcoming assignments from the teacher. I followed my classmates up to the fourth floor, where the lower school students held their PE classes. We eventually ended up at a small basketball court that had ramps in the middle. I put down my backpack as I watched my classmates running into each other with the help of the ramps. We suddenly heard a large explosion in the distance before picking up our stuff and running out from the collapsed wall next to us.

My parents were back from Taitung and this time they brought the dogs and geese with them. All of the animals were in my room when I woke up. I tried and failed to keep the geese from stepping onto my bed. I noticed that there were two unfamiliar dogs sitting in the doorway. Apparently they belonged to a family friend.
