I was in a hotel elevator with my brother as we went up to the 9th floor. He was taking me to see room 907, which was complementary due to some kind of special offer with the hotel.
“Having fig?” he asked.
“Fig?” I looked at him with a puzzled expression. I assumed he meant to say “fun” but it didn’t sound very ambiguous and he nodded in confirmation.
“Uhh, sure I guess…” I said, still unsure about what my brother really meant.
When the door to the 9th floor opened, we took our first steps in opposite directions, as I was merely following the signs on the wall to room 907. My brother quickly corrected his course as we turned down the hallway and continued walking until we were in front of our room. It was a corner room, lodged between a staircase and a small office.
My uncle walked over and started talking about the architecture of the building with my brother. Apparently much of the ceiling was pieced together like a puzzle made out of large interlocking blocks.

We were walking along a freeway that went through a forest somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. A group of kids challenged us to find some barrels along the side of the road and we accepted. We were in the lead for barrels touched as we zigzagged across the freeway when suddenly one of the kids ran ahead and turned around, waiting for our approach. Once we got closer, I heard the sound of a large shutter door descending before realizing that the kid’s plan was to trap us.
I quickly ran towards the edge of the shutter to catch it, telling my friends to run to the sides rather than forwards. Once everyone had gotten out, we jacked a nearby truck and drove down the hill towards the next town ahead of us. A few minutes into our journey, we realized that one of our friends was gone from his seat and was replaced with a mannequin. Someone said that he was “taken by the redditors”.

We were selling 雞排 and 蘿蔔絲餅 in front of a large audience. The heat was nearly unbearable, with the fryers full of oil in front of us and the incandescent lights shining onto the stage. People were cheering as we did various flips and tricks with the fryer - which was no trivial feat, considering the chances of getting badly burned. Our prices were rather high, at 100/130 NT per piece, but it was obvious that most people weren’t here for the food.
