It was dark in the office and on our desks stood 2 feet tall statues of mascots that also doubled as water dispensers. I felt too distracted to get any work done as I paced back and forth with a cup in my hand. Water flowed out of the statues without end, making a mess of the desks and soaking the office chairs and carpet below. I sat down in one of the few dry chairs as a small “brain” fell out of the hole between the legs of the mascot in front of me, making a soft “plap” as it hit the wet surface.

“What the fuck…” I muttered, as I picked up the mushy mass and tried to push it back into the opening it came from. I looked to my right and realized that my desk was overflowing with water as well, and my laptop was still on. In a panic I stood up and immediately unplugged my computer before shutting it down. I hoped that was enough to save it from any permanent damage.

I woke up feeling an urge to throw up.
