I was on a school trip and our scheduled day was ending at a high-end hotel that overlooked the city. Some classmates beside me were talking about the religious landscape in Syria. It was still really hot even though it was already 6:30 in the evening. Our group was the only group that hadn’t eaten dinner yet because we were late touring some guy’s office. I wanted to find a thermometer before the day ended so that I could record the temperature along with my dream later.

I was talking about Risk of Rain with a friend and he said that he wasn’t a fan of attack speed items. “What! But they’re so good!” I objected. We were looking at an easter egg that displayed which item ideas were scrapped and which got into the game.

I was looking at a map that depicted the Finno-Korean “Yejia” empire which spanned all across Eurasia.

It was 2019 and there was a new update for League of Legends. The beta version was full of placeholder art, with the character models being untextured Warcraft III models and the HUD ripped straight out of Starcraft Brood War. It was called the “Two Potions” update and had forgone the typical MOBA format for more RPG-like elements.
