I was watching the new Boogiepop anime with some friends over a Discord call. Someone else called for a quick break when I felt myself swaying in my seat. I told the others that it felt like everything was shaking. I looked out the window to see the the lights from the dense city below. The building started to move more violently and this time I could definitely tell that an earthquake was happening.

I looked back at my screen and wondered if I was actually still asleep. I forced myself to wake up until I found myself belly down in my bed. I could feel my heart racing against the back of my hand as the swaying continued.
