I was looking around the crowded hall for the restroom when I realized that the line for it had already trailed all the way down the stairs from the floor above. With no other choice, I stepped into the back of the line. The line was slow moving as I got to take a step up the stairs every couple of minutes. When I had finally reached the second floor, the line in front of me suddenly dissipated. Soon after I was the first in line for the restroom.

No one was coming out. After waiting for another five minutes, I told the people behind me that I was going to make sure that the room wasn’t fully occupied. I walked in to find that only two out of the 10 stalls were being used. I peeked out to tell the others about the news.

I needed to get back to the small town we were staying at but we were separated by a hour-long walk through endless fields of rice. But now that there were people working in the fields, it meant that I had to take the long way around.
