I was in the lobby of the hotel and I needed to go to the airport to catch a connecting flight at 17:35. The problem was that I actually had not yet booked said flight and had not arranged for any transportation to get the airport. I looked at my phone to check the messages in my family groupchat about what time the next flight was. My mother said not to bother trying to get the same flight and just pick whatever was most convenient. I walked up the service counter in an attempt to ask about the airport shuttle and was handed a form to fill out in Japanese.

I was playing a game that featured open-world sandboarding and exploring abandoned cities in a post-apocalyptic desert. Despite being completely open with long distances between zones, I noticed that landmarks and ramps on the map made finding your way around extremely intuitive. I never once found myself lost in the middle of the desert. As I approached one of the walled-off dome cities, I noticed small animals on the ground clamoring to climb up the lone tree in the center.
