My mom and I found ourselves at the bottom of a pit with no way out. We walked around before once again falling deeper into another chamber filled with rubble. While we couldn’t see any actual corpses, we had a sense that we were going to die down here. “I guess we might as well explore the area” I said, before purposefully descending through holes in the floor. The few times I met what felt like a dead end, my mom was able to point out a set of stairs that continued downwards.
We eventually reached a large atrium that resembled the interior of a shopping mall. We could see what looked like sunlight streaming in from the rectangular openings on the roof. We were however unable to see the actual sky. I checked my phone for a signal just in case. It was dead.
We continued journeying downwards until we arrived at what looked like the first floor of our house. We still couldn’t see the sky however, and was met with the lamps reflecting off of the wooden ceiling whenever we looked up.
This obviously wasn’t our place. Something was off. After five or so minutes my dad called out. “How did you enter the building?”, he asked “I didn’t see you come in.”
