We were playing a video game that took place in Taipei and our objective was to uncover a serial murder mystery. One of the two people who was actually playing the game requested that we delete the save file after we got to the end to not ruin the difficulty for anyone else that wanted to play afterwards.

One of the win conditions for the final boss encounter was that no one in the party died - something that we failed over and over. After getting sick of repeating the sequence right before the boss, we decided to save somewhere closer to the final fight despite the fact that it meant we wouldn’t be able to change our loadouts anymore.

That didn’t matter however, as that was also the run where we finally beat the game. We were left with a letter that revealed the deaths were not a string of murders but rather a series of suicides.
