It was already midnight and I had just finished preparing for tomorrows class. I decided to go downstairs to get myself some mango from the fridge. “What are you doing?” asked someone in the doorway. “You’re the one outside of your room”, I responded. I walked past her and went down to the kitchen.

I leafed through a guidebook that had a black and purple color scheme. The last few pages included reference materials and formatting guidelines for submitting articles to their publication. My mom called me over to help her with her computer after she had installed something. It was apparently messing around with its power usage and I had to resort to using Internet Explorer along with its outdated toolbars in order to search for a solution.
