It was still early in the morning and I needed to take a bus back to campus. Someone was sleeping in the seat in front of me and the driver wasn’t sure where they wanted to get off so he instead decided to wait for half a minute upon arriving at each stop. I told him to not wait so long and cut it down to something like five seconds each.

It was dark out on the waterfront and I spotted a group of three people arguing, or rather a woman shouting at two men who were looking the other way. When I got closer, it turned out that these two men were brothers and simultaneously dating the woman. However in their minds, they were in exclusive relationships, choosing to ignore the other’s existence whenever they went out together. Perhaps fed up with this uncomfortable arrangement, she asks them to at least notice each other. One of them continues to avoid the question while the other runs off to jump into a fountain.

“Maybe you should break up with them”, I thought out loud before receiving an offended glare as she turned her head towards me. I froze, realizing that I was a stranger giving someone unsolicited advice about their relationship. “But I agree with you”, I said in an attempt to defend myself.

Some time later I found myself on the the ground next to a fallen bike when I overheard someone asking for a timetable for the buses. Someone said that there was a handy app for that but she simply responded “well my PC is dead so that’s no use.” I inferred that she didn’t have a smartphone either.

When I got up, she had already gotten onto a bus. I looked down to see that I was holding a ticket to the art exhibit and thought about going. It was already 2AM. I deduced that it would at least be 4AM by the time I got back if I went. I changed my mind.

I got back to my dorm room and walked towards the window. I tried to make out where I was by looking at the buildings outside before guessing that I was somewhere in Poland. I looked behind me to find that someone had actually pieced my blanket on my second bed together while I was gone.
