It had been a long time since I had been at this mall. We were waiting for everyone to get out of the car in the underground parking lot before going upstairs. Not only were the elevators gone but the building now only went to the 8th floor instead of the 16th. We were headed towards the internet cafe on the top floor to play a low-stakes, for-fun, League of Legends tournament.
We got there early and I realized that I had left everything downstairs. I repeatedly ran up and down the stairs of the upper floors, unable to make up my mind.
Shortly thereafter, I realized that I was dreaming and went back to my seat. I remembered that instead of going down to get my bag and computer, I could simply will them into being in front of me. Doing this also required me to have a contact to channel my concentration through somewhere near the desired objects.
I succeeded. My things were in front of me. The problem now was that I was still sleeping and I knew it. I demonstrated to the others by breathing through my nose even when I had pinched them shut. I started to become ineffectual at interacting with the environment. I had to ‘wake up’ without actually waking up.
I ended up trying too hard and woke up.
