I was back home for the weekend but for some reason I had brought an entire suitcase of clothes back with me. I rummaged through the closets in my old room to find pieces of clothing that I have never noticed before, like a pair of transparent pants. “Why would you ever buy these?” I asked myself. When I stood up, I realized that I was wearing shoes of mismatching heights.

I was preparing the soup for our dinner but in order to taste it, I had to sign up on a waitlist. I realized that we didn’t have a lid in the kitchen large enough for the pot the soup was in. Without saying anything, my brother walked out of the apartment so I followed him downstairs. He was meeting up with some friends to go hiking after making a transaction in RMB. I excused myself from the meeting that I wasn’t invited to in the first place and went back up the elevators to the 14th floor.

There was no indication on the plane which restrooms were currently occupied. The moment a door opened, I took strides towards it until it looked like not only was someone else already waiting but the person coming out wanted to go back in. I stood in front of the door, unsure how to interpret the situation until they both let me go in first. As I was peeing, I noticed that there was a magazine full of movie reviews on the sink. I had also just realized that my glasses weren’t on.

The dorm block had a total of 5 floors and I was tasked with visiting each of the stores inside the building. I had webpage with a list of them open on my phone. This list was repeated multiple times on the page in different formats so I scrolled down to the most readable version. I stood in the dark and empty common room before coming with the idea of climbing onto the balcony for the floor above me to get upstairs. I peered through the balcony door to see two people playing what seemed to be a League of Legends fighting game.

One of the people seemed to be feigning ignorance when he said that he didn’t recognize any of the characters. He said this despite having had a long history with playing the original MOBA and maining the character in question, Katarina.
