I was sleeping in the backseat of a car when the driver jumped out of the window after setting something heavy on the gas pedal. I sat up from my seat seconds before the car was due to collide with a building across the intersection head-on at full speed. I quickly jumped into the driver’s seat and swerved the car to the left, right before hearing police sirens go off behind me. It wasn’t until we were on the highway that my feet had managed to reach the pedals allowing me to pull over. I held my hands up in resignation as I tried to explain the situation.
–The tenants of the apartment complex we were in had gotten really good at illegally remodeling the building. Whole new rooms that were never in the original floor plans seemed to materialize out of thin air as the outside perimeter remained the same. Someone suggested that they had also built rooms under the walkway that connected the two buildings across the street from each other. I took an elevator down to investigate and couldn’t see any such signs. I struggled to remember what floor to press when going back up.
