We were sailing through the column of pink fluid in our ship as I took in deep breaths.

My parents said that they knew what I ate for dinner last night and wanted to know where I was going.

It wasn’t until I got off the subway that I realized I had forgotten to wear my shoes. I was considering calling a cab and returning home instead of meeting up with a classmate just to put on some shoes.
