I was standing by the doorway to the woodworking room when I was informed that a guest was coming over. They were going to stay the night in the room next door. I went upstairs to see a few of my classmates eating at the table in the garden. It was raining and I didn’t know where to put my bag down because the ceiling was leaking. I had some ice cream in my backpack but felt too embarrassed to eat it in front of everyone else so I left it to continue melting.

I walked through the glass door into the garden and saw that people were lining up for the restroom beyond the arch of apple trees.

A friend was looking at the selection of watches when he picked out one with a minimal black and blue geometric design. It was a left-handed watch, according to him, and was why he wanted it. He also liked how it was probably not the kind of watch people would be interested in stealing.
