I had to retrieve my laptop from the other room and when I opened it up, my Discord client was on display on the projector. It was a laptop that I had used for school in the past and I carried it back to my own bedroom. I set the laptop onto the desk, not sure where my charger was. As I sat on my bed, I started to eat freshly baked from from a stove right next to me. Hot coals were dropping down into the stove from a rectangular hole in the ceiling.

We were visiting my brother who was still doing his military service somewhere near the national border. Once we drove past the last train station, I kept asking if any one of the buildings on the empty road were the base. We finally got close enough and decided to park in a vacant parking lot under the shade. I had trouble parking between the lines. A woman pulled up next to us and we started talking until another man approached us as well. He continually tried to open the hood of our car before the woman offered to lend her garage spot to us. We had no idea that she was a resident here.“That’s the second time someone’s offered us something with you around!” my mother said. My father said that she was a surfer and when I told him I never recalled that part of the conversation, he brought up seeing a couple of surfboards in the garage.
