People in the hotel room were talking about a juvenile detention center in Crimea when I went to go take a shower. I carried a large compilation of theses with me into the bathroom while thinking about the semester ahead. I realized that winter break was quickly ending and that I had forgotten to hand in an assignment that I had promised to make up for.

I stepped into the bathtub and closed the shower curtains. I stood under the water while reading from the book of theses that I had set on top of the faucet handles. It took me a moment before I realized that I was still fully clothed when I heard my father talking to my friends outside of the door. He was picking us up for dinner somewhere nice. For some miraculous reason the pages of the book weren’t getting wet at all.

The green curtains fell down. They somehow got unhooked from the ceiling. A friend was sitting against the bathtub. “R/a/dio still exists?” he blurted out.

“What?” I hadn’t checked in a while but I couldn’t think of anything that would suggest so.

“Wasn’t it only on Wednesdays?” he continued.

“That was only for certain hosts-”

“How about the hosts?”

“I don’t know. Their Twitter feed became rather sporadic”

“I heard a new anime was released on it… How do you make videos?”

Not quite sure how to respond, I told him that was something you went to another school to learn.
