I was working in a restaurant kitchen and tonight my parents had decided to pay a visit for dinner. It was nearly closing time and I was walking back and forth from the kitchen to their table. Some stranger asked me what I was teaching because they saw me tutoring another student a few days ago. “Who’s that” my parents asked.

“I don’t know.”

I had received automated messages in Discord about someone attempting to use my WiFi network. In the message was also every attempt at guessing the password. “Make sure not to use a common default password” the message concluded.

We had been biking through the city in pouring rain until our leader had led us along some muddy detour down a hill. After traversing the rocky terrain, we waited and regrouped by the now flooding road. Someone was very persistent over arriving at our friend’s house (our destination) before the other group did. “Are we racing? Is getting there first really that big of a deal?” I asked. And no matter how I tried to reason with them, they said yes until I gave up trying to change their mind.

We had arrived at the night market just as it got dark. We picked up a “directory” for the area to see that the stalls were categorized and sorted by different tastes. We ended up lining up for fried chicken and I looked to my right to see eye drops for sale.
