The game was set up in way that we had to run through the queue poles in order to grab the plastic feathers at the end. The path went straight ahead and then turned right. The goal was at the end of the parallel path. Someone was standing straight ahead of us and regions around the poles were marked with white boxes. He had drawn a bow and arrow and said that he would shoot any gwailo that entered the indicated regions. The white person in front of me charged ahead, dodged the arrow and made for the feathers.
After brandishing his green plastic prize, his girlfriend repeatedly said that she wanted to see him do it again. I thought about how dumb it was to want to take your chances on something that relied on luck more than skill but kept it to myself.
