We were about to head out and because I didn’t have my water bottle on hand, I used an empty carton of orange juice to carry water with me instead. I took one last mouthful before filling it up again. There was some kind of controversy going on in the news about a college student’s first-grader son. It had something to do with parental negligence.

We drove a tank through the field full of marble statues. The proportions of the sculptures whizzing by us made us feel “powerful”. The most important ratio was nose width to body height.
