I was following a man through the city that was climbing with and hanging on a green rope. We climbed up and over several metal roofs when a voice commented: “If only you had that kind of resolve”. We continued to weave through multiple identical hotels before ending up at the train station. After I got on the train, there was an upset girl to the side as well as some chatty grandparents a few seats behind me. We eventually ended up where we started by the tree that the children liked to play around.

I wanted to invite other people to this journey of following this nondescript man through the city. However once they joined, I started seeing copies of the man throughout the plaza when I looked at the passersby from certain angles. We walked through crowded stores this time instead of passing by the hotels. “You’re changing the timeline!” I told them.

When we finally got to the train I noticed that the girl and grandparents didn’t get on this time. They were waiting outside of the carriage, waiting for the next train as we had taken their seats. I told the others that there were too many of us and as a result were getting less out of the experience. I wondered if everyone on the way were actually clones of the man and we simply never notice. I reasoned to myself that there was no timeline change after all because it had all been predetermined.

We were back at the tree with the children.
