We followed my dad running through the alleys into a hotel. I had a feeling that I had been here a long time ago. As I walked through the glass doors, I actively avoided what seemed to be a prospective student holding a Reed pamphlet. I went to get a drink of water from the dispenser and it wasn’t until someone commented on how thirsty I seemed that I realized I didn’t have anything to drink since noon.

We were playing a game that was a VR MMO. My brother mentioned how he nearly got banned and blamed the “damn commies” for it. When we jumped into the game we started out in some kind of military conflict but it quickly transitioned to a school hallway lined up with lockers on both sides. The space between the lockers become narrower and narrower until it was hard to run without crashing into one. The school was “corrupted” and any semblance of some kind of social order among the students was no more.
As we ran past the chain-link fence, I informed the person running in from of me: “I don’t know if God exists, but I do know that a giant spider is crawling into my shirt.”
