I was putting on my bulletproof vest as we were getting ready to go on a tour of the city. I put on my yellow reflective jacket and asked my brother if he thought the others were going to join us. “I doubt they will” he replied. He said he would teach us how to run away if they didn’t. We were originally going to be going into an “indoor city” but we ended up simply walking around town.

As we turned the corner, there were multiple pools in the cobblestone street. The largest one in front of us was a wave pool which contained several children playing under the streetlamps as well as a very sad man looking down at his feet with his legs crossed.

My mom jumped into the “pancake pool” which was a personal tub along with a frying pan in the middle right by the sidewalk of the store. “I’d like something sweeter”, she said to the waiter who came by to take her order. He walked back into the Japanese bakery.
