We were sitting in the back of the car going through the city in the middle of the night. Illuminated signs were displayed on top of the single story stores that we passed by. Each sign was a screen shot of different scenes from various anime. “Hey, you’ve watched Tatami, right?” he asked, referring to one of the signs that whizzed by.

We were crossing the bridge when he asked me if I wanted to play a game of League. I turned down the offer and he asked why not, “you only need Lux, am I right?” he added.

We got out of the still moving car and started running (skating?) down the highway. Apparently he were trying to break the record for the fastest time to get to the end. We turned into a tunnel and the road transitioned into a moving walkway. After emerging from the tunnel, I found myself at the entrance of a hotel with a red carpet. The tunnel turned out to be a shortcut and we had beat the previous record.

There was only one sink on the bathroom counter under the mirror. I willed in another sink as there were two of us in the room. We struggled to get the suitcase through the door.
