We were meeting up with a family friend after our flight had landed. I was able to see a map of the area and we were to meet at “The Ronnie House” which was by the shore. There was also a fairly large library near by. I hailed a taxi and told the driver that I wanted to go to the library, thinking that it wouldn’t be too bad to walk the rest of the way. The driver complained that the library was too far away but agreed to take me there anyways.
I was pushing my bike along the tall grasses while an older lady was talking beside me. She started to converse with me in a language that I didn’t understand but apparently that fact wasn’t very clear to her until she noticed my lack of response. She quickly apologized and switched to English.
I had accidentally turned to the left after the slight downwards incline instead of to the right, but for some reason we thought it was okay and that we would turn around when we got to the end of this section of the path. As expected, we ended up at the wrong building on the other side of the beach.
