A lecturer came into the auditorium to speak about coming-of-age traditions in societies. He was pacing around the front of the stage until eventually he walked right through the door - still talking as if everyone could hear him. I was the only person to follow him outside as the confused voices from within the auditorium got louder.
He must have walked through the countryside and the city before I informed him that people weren’t hearing him. “The walking thing doesn’t work” I said. “It’s time to go back. The audience is too big to follow you anyways.”
We hopped onto a bus and were brought right back to the lecture hall. We ran past the ticket counter and went up the spiral staircase. When I got to the top, the building started to collapse. A voice in my head told me that I didn’t have a hat (helmet?) to keep me safe this time. When I woke up, I was floating in the ocean by the docks.
