Someone from the neighboring room walked into mine saying something about the music that was playing. “What’s your playlist?” he asked. I told him that I unfortunately only had one song from the artist. While I was scrolling through the music on my phone he commented on how he wanted my phone theme.

He walked back out mumbling something about going back to his room to put on some clothes. I asked him if the music was too loud. He replied, “Yes”. I looked at the time. It was 3:40 AM. I turned down the volume from 25 to 18.

I sat down with my dad as he continued watching a movie from where he had left off the previous night. When we were scrolling through the scene selection, we realized that he had fallen asleep right before the final scene. There were two fight scenes that were happening in parallel. Guns, doors, and walls were used in both fights before I picked up on the fact that they were one and the same but the characters simply manifested differently in the two shots.
