I was at the new student orientation and one of the activities was to bake a cake together with other students. The kitchen was heavily windowed and dominated by a white color scheme. We had math classes in the afternoon.

By nightfall we split up into pairs for a printed scavenger hunt. We had to find specific phrases and sentences as well as logos in a variety of media publications. My partner and I were mostly looking through the newspapers as we sat around a table outside of a closed fast food restaurant. Our radio was constantly broadcasting messages from the leader of the group with a delay of a few hours. We wondered if we were sitting were she was walking around in the daytime.

We were unable to complete our task but everyone was called to meet up for dinner right were we were working. Before our meal was served, the leader told us about a student who recently successfully went to a study abroad program and encouraged everyone who wanted to to fill in an application on the spot. Puzzles were given out to those who opted out so they had something to do. I was thanked for cleaning the white boards even though I had no recollection of doing so.
